On September 30, 1992, Kansas City Royals third baseman George Brett completed his 3,000th base hit,
becoming one of Major League Baseball's exclusive hitters. On July 25, 1999 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame along with
Nolan Ryan, Robin Yount, and Orlando Cepeda.
